As a side note, I would love to know how you work out what PSU you need?
As in what these 'rails' are and why voltage matters becuase it's so confusing!!...

Well I use this calculator to get a rough idea of wattage needed, then you look at different PSU's for their rated current outputs on the rails, if it's a decent amount (atleast over 20A) it's a PSU worth considering (but the higher the better) but you can speed that up by just looking straight at a corsair unit, they are among the best PSU's in my opinion.

I have no first hand experience with Corsair PSU's but a mate of mine's died recently and it's less than a year old. Still like my Thermaltake.

if it dies, you send it back under the 5 year warranty, and their website tech support is top notch.

a crosair psu died!!?? woa! those are amazing psus along with pc power and cooling antecs are ok only problum with those are dual rails most psus are rebranded seasonics anyways ( alot of them) the rebranded sea sonics always seem to be the best ones

All manufacturers will have PSU's die, it's just something that happens with technology. But I find Corsairs don't die often, and provide very stable voltages.

ya lol corsairs do not die very much at all! there is the one every once and awhile plus a 5yr warrenty! must have just got a bad one
