Why are there so many questions on here about power supplies?

Of all the computer-related questions I've ever been asked, no-one has ever asked me about PSU.

I've never really seen it discussed on another board or site.

Bear in mind the fact that I'm not trying to slate anyone, not calling people stupid or anything, I'm just curious as to why there are so many power-related questions here.

Haha yeah... What I mean is, why doesn't someone make a guide to PSU selection?

I'd do it, but I don't have the time. Maybe I will someday soon... Put the old Physics principles into use...

I would find it pretty hard to put a guide together to be honest.
Its easy to just link to an online psu calculator Like This
After that its just recommending good brands and finding out what amps are needed on the rails(the part you have to pay for with that calculator.lol)

That's quite cool.

I have an A-Level in physics, and I don't want my scientific braincells rotting, so I guess I'll come up with a rough guide at least.
