i got some akasa thermal contolled fans i want to make the intake fan run at 100% how can i do this (the bios does nothing)

Wow, that's odd, it works fine on mine as a speed controller. RivaTuner can do it too, iirc. Your fans plugged into the motherboard?

the fans have a heat sense'r built in right ?
if they do just cut it out then add 12v to the fan....100%

short the thermistor? i was thinking of doing that but i didnt want to bugger a 15 quid fan

at the end of the day the thermistor is only a auto switch
i wouldn't short it as that would break the circuit ..but i would cut it out if you can..if all goes wrong you can always re attach the wires

well iv never had one so am not sure.. all i'm going on is what i think the circuit would be like..
i would say no..that senser would have to go unless you could som haw fool the senser that is is very hot which would make the fan spin as fast as it can
