Matx Psu?

I have just bought one of these

and the psu that comes with the case is pretty loud. Is there any replacments? can i change the fan? what are my options?

Yeah, you can change the psu. Infact, I'd highly recommend you do. The psu's that come with case are usually the generic, aka: crap, kind. Very inefficient, loud (as you're finding out), and less than stable. Plus, it's only a 275w version, so it's not going to power much of a build.

What can you get? Well, pretty much any psu you choose. They all adhere to the atx spec which doesn't only cover such things as minimum wattages but also physical size. The wattage you do purchase (should you purchase a replacement psu) depends on your build and it's power requirements.

I wouldn't recommend changing out the fan of a generic psu because you may cause it to overheat and a psu that goes 'pop' can take the rest of your pc with it.

Should you want to though you'll find that the majority of psu fan's are powered through a standard 3pin connector, so you should be able to purchase pretty much any fan you want.

So your saying I can fit a atx psu in a matx case?? if so what silent one would you reccomend, ive gone from a Sonata 2 to this so yeh this seems a little noisy compared lol
