Default MIOS 500w PSU

Hi guys friend of mine been given a mios 500w psu, feels a bit lite to me, have googled it but found nothing (maybe that says it all ) does anyone know anything about this make? or where i could find an independent review of this psu model?

well, if there is nothing on the internet you can find, I dout it is very good, but it's always possble that it is very good, just the brand doesn't advertise itself because it's got retailers.

Rule of thumb with psu's:

The heavier they are the better they are.

It's lighter due to the cheaper materials used for the heatsinks. I'd lose it, fast!

Thanks guys thought it a bit lite to be any good and have searched for reviews but cant find any,
guess ill put this psu in generic slot and tell him to bin it before he uses it,
just a bit of more info from him on how he got it and the answer was that it wasnt powerful enough to run his m8s pc and that was a athlon64 3200+ single core with a 7600gs 512 of ram and a 320gb h/d so it was given to him as his pc is older and running on a athlon xp cpu
