That's the only thing I don't like about it!

But it's great anyway, and I know you'll give it to me when you've finished anyway, so I'm not too annoyed with you

Just damn. That HAS to be the most classic PC case ever. It's like the Rolls Royce of computer cases.

The wheels were an extra sweet touch. Someone (well several someones) told me once on a thread to get my PC off the ground even if I had to set it on something to help with dust control. I don't know if that's true or not, but if it is, using wheels not only gets it off the ground for dust, but it would also help with cooling because of the open space under the case.

I can't wait to see the finished product.

I imagine you could build a pretty neat case that's really thin (like, "you can't put anything other than memory and a HSF in here" thin) but raised up somehow, so air could be pulled in vertically (bottom to top) through the case. You'd have to use a bunch of really little fans or something though.

Bubba
i agree i think a case is better not tutching the floor plus if you want to add some fans at the bottom of the case there is room for the fans . already them wheels are coming in handy i push it everywere now
Carbon
its funny you should say that..this is one of my other designs its a ruff sketch but you get the idea. due the the curve i decided too much hassleif anyone likes it be my guest in buiding this one. i wont be.think it be a cool case tho

You should combine that with your current one ;)

Might be an issues trying to get those skinny stands to support the 2Tower beast though...

more work twoday boxing the insides and cutting all windows out

cut some steel to cover the psu's also made 2 small windows that will have perspex over the holes
also made the dvd drive holder (had to cut one out of an old case and cut it to fit then rivet it to case.easier said than donealso made 1 of 2 HDD holders the hdd holder and the dvd drive will be boxed in liek the psu's but woll add a window so i can have access to the hdd's

the other side of the case were wire'ing will be hidden

the side door's now have windows.just need some perspex now to finish them of.and added the handles (on the left hand side)

i decided to cut a hole out the top as you can see so that the heat from the psu's can escape.
there is going to be a melat plate over this hole but rased up about an inch with mesh inside round the edges

i made a quik video of 2days progress.. post it as soon as its uploaded to youtube
need to sort the paint work out as it looks horrid at the minite

Looking real nice.. I'm definatly going to do my own, next year maybe.

A couple of things I was interested to know about, firstly the boxing off of the inside, how have you done this? With original PC case parts, or custom cut metal or what?

The other thing was manipulating the PSU's like you have.. If it's unplugged and your tied to an earthing with anti-static as well are you safe to start unscrewing PSU's? Or is there are other things you should be aware of?

Thanks,
