I was also trying to work out what it meant, does it just mean all the components are cheap there that you were wanting?

@Tomthedrummer: when I first read your post I thought you were taking to me

Unsurprisingly I get that a lot. I was simply implying that scan.co.uk was so truly awesome as to invite me to reevaluate my life. This is of course absurd. I can't be having such reevaluations so frequently as this year is presenting the opportunity.

[EDIT] And anyone who follows that is either insane or a psychiatrist. Either way, deeply terrifying.

That's scary, because I actually did follow that

Even more terrifying. Who knows what's occurred on that couch.

This is not helping my psuedo-paranoia!

Entertaining thread

I don't wish to annoy you, having now paid and ordered, but I've had the same thing a couple of times, and all I've had to do is push in the power cable (external) a bit further, or just wiggle it a bit.

About as un-professional as - *cue irish accent thingie! (IT Crowd) * Turning it off and on again *Back to me usual good ole Dorrseeet arccent, wit a comboine 'arvesta to join!* - but hey, it worked.

I like the way this thread has gradually moved off topic

Off-topic conversations are permitted... I think... We're going to get modded soon, aren't we?

And thanks for the advice 4D, but that was the second thing I checked. I've 'fixed' far too many issues with the various computers around my house by wiggling some connection or other, or simply, as you say, 'turning it off and on again'. It is, invariably, one of my first methods of fixing computers.
