I just bought an antec tricool 120mm case fan to replace my stock coolermaster cpu exhaust. The new one can run at 2000 rpm, the same speed as my cpu fan, instead of a max of 1600. Should i just get rid of my stock or add it as another exhaust. I dont have a program to measure my temps but i have a 230mm and 120mm as intakes and 2 120mms as exhausts. Should i add another exhaust or just store away my stock fan. Thanks in advance

If the reason for purchasing the new antec was to replace the stock one because the stock one is broken, then you should continue with your original plan and replace the stock, older (broken?) case fan. If the stock isnt making any noises, is still running to the max rpms, then add the new one as supplement to your cooling system.
Sounds like your system may have too many fans as it is? You may want to think about measuring your temperatures and see if you cant reduce the load on the PU by reducing the number of fans. In the end, this will make your system more functional. |

RiveTuner for GPU, RealTemp or Intel Thermal Analysis Tool for Intel CPUs, not sure what's a good AMD equivalent there. Speedfan can also tell you some stuff but is generally kind of inaccurate for CPU readings.
