Well I have posted one of these before, but as my build has changed slightly, I will post again, I need some avide on a PSU to get.

Build:
intel Q9450 Quad core
Nvidia 8800 - not decided which model yet, will depend on prices when i buy (probably won't be an ultra though)
Gigabyte motherboard with p35 chipset
2*Crucial Ballistix tracer DDR2 PC2-8500 Memory
Optical drive (still deciding)
2*raptor drives (probably 74GB but might be 150GB)
current 2 SATA hdds
a few case fans (some with LED's)
And some USB powered devices

I'm not sure how much of that actually makes enough of a difference, but I added it all so you know.

I am looking for a PSU no more than £80 rearly, however if I have to I might be able to go higher, but I won't be able to afford excessive amounts.

Thanks

I like the look of it, but it may be a little too costly, I will try to fit it into my budget though if possible

oh, and I'm not going to be OCing any of the components, atleast not untill they are quite old, so do I still need a high power PSU or can i make do with slightly smaller?

try this set everything to what you have but also set it to any possible upgrades you might do e.g. if you have one graphics card but you might get another to sli make sure u say you have 2 so you can see what psu you need if you want to upgrade

The calculator says 644W with 1 GPU (8800 ultra) and 792W with SLI (I used 8800 ultra, as I assumed it have the highest power consumtion)

You're looking at 650W-700W probably. If you got the massively more power efficient, cooler, and faster (with OC) 8800GT or GTS, and a 8400 instead of that cheapo quad you could probably cut it down to 500-550.
