Hey people. I am new here and well, i am in need of some advice for a new psu which i realised i need to upgrade my GPU. My current GPU is a BFG 8800 GT @ 320mb, and it's not quite enough for what i need. Here are the specs i am hoping to run:

Mobo: Abit IP35 pro. (LGA 775)
RAM: Kingstons DDR2, 4gb, 1066mhz.
GPU: ATI 4890 1gb GDDR5 memory @ 3900mhz (soon to be)
CPU: Intel core 2 quad q6600 @ 2.26ghz
Cooler: Akasa AK-965BL
Disc Drive: Sony dvd rw drive. (not too sure on the specifics)
HDD: Western Digital 500gb, 32mb Cache.

That's pretty much it, so yeah, if you can, give me an idea for a good, cheap, reliable power supply to go with all that.

I Found this one on Ebay, what do you guys/girls think?

Thanks all.

The power most people wish to use for their PC are drastically over powered, I assume a high quality 500W would be perfect, but I suppose extra power would be a missed advantage, so therefore actually get the 750w from eBay haha :)

haha yeah. It's cheaper than most 500w and 750w PSU's ive seen around. The only thing is, i hope it has enough connections for what ive got. :/

Get a 550-650W Antec/Corsair/OCZ/Thermaltake/Enermax or something like that, buying a rubbish unknown brand could cost you alot more then you could save considering it could take your entire PC out with it

OCZ is trash. 450VX, 550VX, 520HX, 500W PC P&C Silencer, etc should work fine.

The only problem is, im on a bit of a budget, and OCZ seem to be the cheapeast well known brand.

£65.99 is not "cheap" at all. All the power supplies I listed are cheaper or basically the same price except for the 520HX.

450VX
550VX
PC P&C Silencer 610W

Also if you are going to spend a significant amount on a GPU you should be ready to spend a reasonable amount on a PSU.

Sorry for double post but:

Carbon, i was wondering, are you sure that the PC P&C will work? because last time i was on a lower PSU, my RAM wasn't working and the computer failed to boot. Are you sure it will work fine compared to the OCZ?
