Default Need PSU for Home Built

I put the Corsair TX-650 in my build with it's 52 amp capability (single rail) and had extra reserve power for upgrading which, I am in the process of now. it's given me great performance so far. I'm in the process of running a dedicated circuit just for my PC. system also.

Erm, just another quick Question.

My Mobo (Ip35 pro) only has a 16xPCI-E slot. Does this mean it won't be able to house the XFX ATI 4890 (with PCI-E 2.0 support)? thanks again all.

No, it'll be fine.

Just a quick one, you mention your rig has a Q6600 at 2.26GHz.. They run at 2.4GHz out of the factory so are you sure you have the right model or is it a typo?

Razer,
I believe that most mobos enable "smart speed" for the Q6600s, IE. they reduce the clock speed when not needed.
I''ve juse had a look at mine now and it's at 1.8GHz, but jumps to 2.4GHz when gaming.

Perhaps this is the reason for the descrepancy?

Ah, good point that "Enhanced SpeedStep Technology" crap Intel use. Reduces the multiplier when the processor isn't in full use, gets to about 85% or something then unlocks the higher multiplier..

Just thought he was might have been getting the wrong parts.
