Good afternoon,

I have a Cooler Master CM690 with a full compliment of case fans (6) and to be honest, she is a lil loud.

I have been looking at fan controllers and found this one. The reviews look good but was hoping that you good people may have some thoughts.

I am restricted to 5.25" as the 3.5" bay is not accessable from the front of the case without modding.

Appreciate your time.

That will work fine, just bear in mind that you will only be able to run 5 out of your 6 fans off it. I have one myself that does 6, so they are around. Also, if price is a issue, i believe newegg do a cheaper controller than what you've linked to.

Something else to consider though, is this controller has plugs for 3pin fans (the one that plugs into your mobo) whereas if you have 6 fans, i'd imagine that these have molex connectors, which obviously wont work. Adapters are available though, and you could always wire it yourself.

And finally, I throughly reccommend a fan controller, like yourself, i have a rather loud pc! Having all fans set on half power (about 7.5v) makes a massive difference to the noise!
