Looking at the case Em at top back there is a grill "looks like the manufactures have a fan installed there" so the PSU would need to go at the bottom, now I'm wondering if this is a good case or not ? there will not be much room from the base of the PSU and whatever the case is stood on and heat radiates down as well as up, put your hand on a PC with the PSU at top back you can feel heat through the case, same will apply at the bottom of a case.

The psu is better at the bottom because (as you state Maria) hot air rises.

With the psu fan facing downwards, and the psu at the top of the case, hot air will flow into the psu, making the fan work harder to keep the psu cooler, meaning more noise. This way it's being used as an exhaust fan.

Its better at the bottom with the fan facing upwards, or, preferably, facing downwards and collecting air from its own 'zone' through the floor of the case, though this is not something that can be done with either of these cases.
