Hey, I just got the HP m9040n and I was looking to upgrade the graphics card (it came with an 8400GS). I'm looking at the 8600GT 512mb DDR3 since I'm on a tight budget (I would go for the 8800GT but I don't want to buy a new power supply). Anyways, my question is, I've seen the EVGA version of this card requires a 350+watt power supply, while other companies' version of the same card only need 300+watts. I just want to know why that is. Cause my comp has 300 watts and I don't want to mess it up by having a GPU that requires too much power. Thanks

the evga is most probally overclocked which draws more power.
