Yeah, that's understandable,

You're shoving over double voltage through it.

But this is about putting half voltage through... I would have guessed it wouldn't work, but flick it back and it would. Hey, shows how much I know

same, I would have thought that putting half the amount wouldn't have done any damage either. maybe it was already on its way out, and that was the final straw? who knows. at least the rest of the pc was fine, no damage done, this time.
