For the past few months I have been thinking of buying a liquid cooling system. The main reason for this is my room gets extremely hot during the day if I have my computer on and I was thinking that a liquid cooling system would not only keep my pc cooler but my room as a whole. Am I right to assume this? As well I am sort of worried about the integrity of the system itself; will it leak? is it reliable? etc. If you could answer any of these questions I'd be most appreciative. Thanks

whether you use liquid cooling or not, the amount of heat your computer generates remains the same, it simply transfers it away from the CPU by a different, more efficient, means.

also, think about it logically. what cools your pc currently. air. if the air is hot, its not going to cool as well as it, as the temperature difference is not as severe.liquid cooling still uses air to cool the radiators, the liquid is used to transfer the heat away from the components more quickly than air, that hot liquid still has to be cooled somehow!

unless you put the radiator outside, then it would be much more effective!

Correct - liquid cooling is useful for silence and people who have too much money to blow but it's not really that useful for heat purposes over good air cooling especially when the ambient temperatures are high.

the only way watercooling CAN cool better than air is if you mount the radiator outside in the shade.
i did this once in the winter.. you should of seen the temps i was getting ! i might mount the radiator in the freezer am sure the girlfriend wouldn't mind i would have to use 100% alcohol so it don't freeze hang on am actually considering it lol

Many cheap systems do leak,as to getting a water cooled system over a air cooled system ive yet to see a comparision in temps for a desktop pc that warrents the extra cost of forking out for a water cooled system considering the components are tested at temps that most pc`s dont reach,
