I just bought a new Thermaltake Toughpower 850 watt power supply unit and noticed that a connector was missing on the motherboard power cord.
Here is a picture of the connector. ![]() The 5th one on the lower row is missing. Could this be the cause of my computer not starting? I transferred cases earlier today from a Raidmax Smilodon to a Cool Master HAF. When I went to flip the power switch, the system received power, as in the lights and fans came on, but their was no out put on the screen. I messed around with it for a few minutes but didn't have too much time to do so. I figure it the mother board not getting power, but I could be wrong. Please help. Thank you. |

Try the psu in another computer, if it works then you may have damaged some components during the case transfer.

Pin 8 is optional, so probably not.
