Whist the wattage amount is fine, if anything it's slight overkill actually, the psu is not.

I've personal knowledge of these "EZ" cool psu's and they really are absolutely terrible.

Rule of thumb is the heavier a psu is, the better it is. These weigh nothing due to the lousy materials used for the heatsinks. They don't get rid of heat, are loud, and, frankly, unstable at anything near peak running.

Stay well away. The price should tell you something about the quality.

I know it's tempting to compromise on the psu because it's not one of the sexy components but can you live with crashes and lock-ups on a regular basis?

Don't scrimp on your psu.

My recommendation would be this. Working on the basis of 600w. Quite cheap for a good 600w psu as well.

If nothing else, this should give you an indication of cost for a decent psu so you can budget for it.

Generally ok in the lower wattage range, not so good higher up (keeping things simple).

Enermax.
Coolermaster.
Antec.

Are my faves.

I'm only a novice, but isn't the Cooler Master IGreen in Tier 4 of this list?

I don't like that list - I bought a Aerocool Zerodba and it's nearly silent, has good construction, has a variable speed fan, and is quality through and through. I think as long as you aren't buying cheapo SuperPCPowerCo off-brand stuff you're alright.
