Hey, next to my PCI slots and underneath the rear fan theres a sort of air vent type mesh. The same as covers fans - but its rectangular and a long way of big enough for a fan.

It also has four attachment clip tye things in the corners so something must be able to go there.

The mechanical drawing on Antec's site doesn't say what it is.

I wondered maybe if it's for a radiator or reservoir?

Also on the base of the case (hehe rhyme) is a sort of studded up clip - with no apparent function, I thought again it must clip onto something.

If it helps this is an Antec Sonata III 500, Thanks, Ollie.

Not sure but if its under the mobo its a cooling vent for your CPU and the clips are for the mobo itself so that an idiot doesnt go and shove it in the wrong way

Nice rhymes :)

Looks like a port for the washable air filter, looking at the tech drawings anyway =)

EDIT: These ports are for an exhaust system featured on the Sonata II but the ventilation system is not included with your case..

As I said before I did check out the drawings - but its not marked as anything, it's pictured but there's no note on what it is.

EDIT: Washable air filters at the front.

EDIT 2: Just refreshed and saw your edit.. ok thanks I guess I just leave it then? I can't really use it for anything else?

Nope, its an extra left over from the previous case. You could look for the air filter if you want to but I'm not going to guarantee it will fit.
