this question is also about computers. i saw a camcorder in the us and its the same as the uk version but twice as cheap. i am just wondering if the us camcorder would work in the uk (adaptor wise). i am also planing to have a website where i would record a birthday party and put it on my site. will the us version plug into my computer.

Default camcorder question (help needed)

The power is the issue as the US uses a different voltage.

I'm not sure if it would be compatible.

I agree, though I think it would be compatible. After all, it is just a USB connection isn't it? I was in the States this summer and was able to upload pictures from my camera to a computer. However, I tried to recharge my Creative Zen MP3 player - big ass mistake...destroyed it and that was using a power adapter for the region...

My advice would be to read up about it before you purchase anything
