I purchased a Canon MP160 in August 2007 and took it home, set it up and it was fine! Good quality, speed etc. I bought some new ink off the web; non Canon but the ink status reported that they were still empty but i done some research and found that if they are non canon then the ink status wont work...fair enough! (not to self buy Canon ink) I then went to print one day and couldnt! The printer had gone from the selection menu and I couldnt see it! I have uninstalled and re-installed countless times but nothing has worked. I have tried different drivers and just pluggin it in and letting windows work its magic...NOTHING! Can anyone help? I am running Windows Vista Home Prem. (32bit) on a Gateway laptop, 2GB Ram etc etc

Well when I press Ctrl + P in Microsoft Word for example I cannot select the Canon to print it. I go into device manager and the printer is fully installed but I cannot select it to print fron ANY program.
