Hi,To start with i will explain i am no expert pc user.I connected a camera to download some pics. The pc was showing on screen it had recognised a removable disc, then i pulled the power cable out by mistake and shut it down, now when i connect the camera ,the camera says it is connecting to the computer but doesnt ,and there is no removable storage device detected on the pc.I have connected the camera to another pc succesfully.I thought about looking in system restore but dont seem to be able to find it on my pc.Havent a clue if thats the right way to go.Hope someone can help me out.Look forward to hear from one or more of you pc experts

when you say "I connected a camera to download some pics" do you mean you tried to upload pictures from your camera to your computer?, and if so don't you need software to do this , normally theres a disk that comes with the camera that allows this, anyway connect the camera and then go to "safely remove hardware" in your tool bar and remove the camera from there if it shows, once you get a pop up saying "hardware safely removed it is now safe to unplug your *******" then unplug the camera and restart your PC, once up and running again then check if its fixed if not let me know.

Try re-installing the software/driver.

This hasn't happened to me before but it did i would probably try system restore or completely uninstalling the software , using a registry cleaner delete all the registry values and stuff and try installing again
