I have a Sharp VL NZ-50 Viewcam camcorder. It has a four pin firwire socket as far as I can tell. How do I transfer my vids onto my laptop. I have a usb adaptor which fits this socket but if I connect it with this it says device not recognised.
Don't have any kind of software CD either so presumably no driver? Can anyone help?

You will need some software of some kind, try getting it off the manufacturers website.
