My printer is automatically printing the alingment page as and when I switch it on in addition to taking so much time in printing the first document for which I give command.

I have been advised that I should reinstall it. I understand that I can uninstall it by going to add or remove programs. Could you explain the step by step procedure of installing it as I am not much conversant with the computer methods and techniques.

Just insert the CD that came with it when it was purchased.

It should auto load and the process is self explanatory.

Thanks for your reply.

In fact, I have lost the CD but I downloaded the Driver a few months ago from the hp website. Please advise how should I proceed.

Just run the program you downloaded and follow the instructions, it's hardly nuclear physics.

Heres what you do:
1) Unplug the thing, unplug everything to do with it, usbs, etc.
2) Go to control panel, go to printers, right click, uninstall.
3) in control panel, go to add/rem progs, find the ones to do with printer, uninstall each one.

4) restart computer.
5) install driver and WHEN IT SAYS plug everything in.
6) restart.
