Hi
Can anyone help please, I'm after a new all in one printer with wireless capability and also be able to fax. But before I go any further can I just say what I know about printers you could get on the back of a postage stamp. I 've been reading reviews on itreviews.co.uk and trustedreviews.com, I was thinking of buying an Epson Stylus Photo PX800FW until I read the problems people were having with drink, not the alcoholic kind, I mean ink apparently the PX800FW drinks it and if sending a fax it has to be printed first. I've also been reading about the Brother MFC-6490CW and found out the lid only opens to 45 degrees when you need to scan something, I would prefer one which opens to 90 degrees as sometimes I scan pages from books which may prove difficult otherwise, my present printer is a HP Photosmart 2610 which my son has set up for me, but he says HPs printers are good but their software is hopless. I would be prepared to spend up to £250, so I want to try and make the right choice. Thanks for any help off anyone who can offer any advice on the latest printers. |

I bought a Canon MX 310 last November and haven't had any problems out of it yet. It was around $75-$100 US I think.
EDIT: Well nevermind lol. I googled it and on Canon's own site they had user reviews with pro's and cons. The universal con was high ink consumption. You can see for yourself: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/co...&modelid=15603 |

Thanks for that guys, yes I see what you mean about the ink consumption.
I have to say the more I read on the reviews of various printers, they all seem to have their bad points, guess in the end you pays your money and takes your choice. |
