Hi All

At the moment I have got a Microsoft LifeCam VX-3000 Web Camera, I have recently noticed that the microphone on the web camera keeps on picking up my tower unit noise and my voice is like a faint background noise.

I recon this is happening because about six months ago I bought a more compact corner computer desk and my tower unit is about 78cm below my web camera as it sits on my computer monitor so maybe that is the reason.

My question is: Could you please recommend a web camera that cuts out the tower unit noise and concentrates on your voice?

Many thanks for reading this and to the people who reply to my thread.

Regards, Oliver

If there is nothing wrong with the camera, wouldn't it me more sensible to just buy a microphone to use with it? or are they in the same USB connector? Because if the microphone is a seperate Jack plug, it might be better (and cheaper) to just use a computer mic to replace that.

Sorry I meant to say that my web camera is an all in one there for the microphone is built into the camera, so it does not look like I will be able to just replace or connect a microphone to my web camera to save some money. Thanks for the suggestion anyway thingie2.
