| I have borrowed a friend's camera. I have EXACTLY 48hrs with it. It's a Sony DV camcorder. I'm using a gateway laptop. No FireWire. Only USB ports. I have a USB/FireWire adapter. It's running from my cam to my laptop and when I plug it in, it says it's found new hardware. It asks me to install it, and for a CD...which I don't have, and can't have. Neither the adapter nor the cam came with one. So it can't install. I'm attempting to upload movies from the cam to my computer using the USB/FireWire adapter. When I look for videos, it can't find anything...it's like nothing is plugged in. "My Computer" shows nothing. And when I go to device manager, it has the big question mark on USB port. I can't spend anymore money on this. For the love of God, please, if you have a soul...help me. ASAP. Please. I'm begging here... |
