Hi guys, I am looking for a good quality printer, but the only problem i have is I have noticed the ink replacement 's are very expensive. can anybody guide me on this please...

Some printers, such as HP & Lexmark, incorporate the print head in the cartridge.
This makes a replacement set of cartridges very expensive, often more than the cost of the printer.

Epson & Brother printers do not use this method, their cartridges just contain ink. Also you can often get compatible cartridges for these, depending on the model.

My advice would be ... look for and decide on the printer, then look on the Net to see if the cartridges are available as compatibles and check prices, before you buy the printer.

I would always advise a laser printer if you only want black and white or grey scale copy as they will always beat inkjets on cost. A new drum will cost a lot to replace but it is not as much as a color+b/w cartridge on many inkjets and will last 1000s of pages.

You can always buy a separate photo printer.

Colour lasers are pretty cheap nowadays as well.
