Default printer problem

I am really really sorry if this is in the wrong place but i am hopeless and desperate!

I have a two laptops both run vista, my husband has set up so that we can share the printer which is set up on our main desk top pc. the printer is HP Deskjet 3840 Series. On the one laptop it works wonderfully no hassel, but on my laptop (surprise surprise) everything i print, prints backwards! I have checked and re-checked that the settings are the same, which they are! Please could you post in plain english as my computer knowledge is very limited!

Thank you in advance

Do you know if there is HP software on each of the computers?

If there is there may be an option to mirror the image in the settings somewhere.

I can't help you more because I know nothing really about Vista (really is time for me to learn)
