Hello folks.

I`m a `new boy` to the world of PCs and need your expert guidance. I had some work carried out on my `Windows XP` system and when the new windows pack was installed it has deleted my printer, camera and USB connections.

I have viewed various web pages for assistance, but either I don`t understand the `jargon` or it turns out to be a dead end . The concensus seems to be that my drivers (?) need to be re-installed?

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated otherwise I`m going to lose it and have a mad 10 mins with a hammer

Merry Xmas to all.

Ian.

lol, yeah sounds like a driver issue :-p. A driver is a set of instructions that acts as a compatibility layer between your physical device and the microsoft operating system. The drivers can be updated by going to microsoft control panel / system / hardware tab / device manager /
and any device that has a ?! beside it right click and press update driver.
If it cannot find the correct drivers then they are usually available by download from the manufacturer website. The HP Officejet 4219 driver will be either with the installation cd obtained when purchasing the device or available for download off of hp.com
