Default Problems connecting my Sony Cyber shot Camera

Hi All

Can anyone help me get my Sony DSC-W70 cyber shot camera connected to my PC?

I recently had the hardrive cleaned and my camera and printer files & drives were deleted. I have tried to install using the disc supllied with the camera but still have no joy.

I`m not getting any messages to say something is missing. Printer works fine ,though the drivers for it required re connecting (thanks Dice).

My PC is an IBM with Windows XP package.

Thanks in advance.

Ian.

If your camera connects through usb you can enable the automatic scanner and camera wizard to get your photos off. Here's how to enable it.

This is included with windows XP.

Instead of using the supplied disk, download drivers from the web.

I also have a cybershot camera, and find the USB cable to be very dodgy - unstable connection with my camera, and also doesn't work with several other USB devices...

Default Problems connecting my Sony Cyber shot Camera

Dave/ Mitz,

The program has installed via the installation disc but the camera has not been recognised on my pc, if I double click the `safely remove hardware` icon on the bottom right of the tool bar then the only USB port being used is for my printer.

I have checked if the drivers have been updated via device manager and there is no `?` update sign.

When I turn the camera on and try to connect via USB it contiually tries to make a connection.

I have also followed Mitz suggestion in this thread but there is no camera icon in my computer.

Many thanks once again.

Ian.

**I would try and connect the camera to another computer to see if it is your usb that is the problem.
**Also uninstall the camera and drivers, then make sure you have installed your motherboard drivers etc, then install the camera again.
