Default Scanner issues

Hi guys,
I borrowed my Mum's scanner to copy some photos. However she doesn't have the installation disk anymore. It's a packard bell scanner and I downloaded the software from the PB website, which has installed the scanner. But I can't find any software to actually use the scanner. Does anyone know where I can find some?
Thanks!

Adobe or MS Word should do it.
