NOW or after Xmas? I am thinking about buying a CANON 450d digital SLR camera with the standard 18-35mm Lens. I need to know a few things:

1. Should I buy it NOW (£438 lowest price I've found in UK) OR wait till after Xmas (Sales)?
2. Would any Sale Price be likely to be significantly lower £100? or just £20-30? Maybe somone has experience of purchasing in yearly sales.
3. Will the Canon 450d be likely to be superseeded in next few months with a more powerful similar camera? Thus should I wait for a new model? Any news on the grapelines about new Canon models (especially maybe cameras with more than 12.2 Megapixels in the £500-700 range?

I am a Graphic Designer and need to purchase the best camera I can in the £500-700 range that will give me the Highest Image Resolutions for High Quality PRINTED images for Brochures/Posters.

I cant afford a Medium Format Professional Camera (20 Megapixels+) and just wonder if any new Canon/Other models are due out soon?

Many, many thanks for any help!!!

How about telephoning the people at Amateur Photographer or What Digital Camera and see what they think. People love talking about their professions, and they attend the annual fairs.
