I just built a new computer that dows not have a paralell port on the mobo.I want to run my scanport scanner. I bought a paralell pci card, and put that in the computer. I can't figure out which driver to use with the card. I'm running vista home premium 32 bit sp1. The guy in China I bought the card from has no idea what to do. I'd love some help .
Thanks,

Fit the card then boot, it should ask for the driver, then locate it on the CD and install it.

I tried that. Windows installs a generic driver. IF I revert to Have disk, there isn't a default driver. There are multiple drivers on the disk and you have to choose the driver you want to install. When I try to find the scanner it says no host adapter found.

Yes it shows up as installed and it says this device is working properly. It is set to lpt3 I'm wondering if it has something to do with the i/o port settings? It is set to no interrupt.

I went to mos and found the correct driver and installed it for vista. I am still getting a no host adapter found. I did noticed it is installed on lpt3 would that make a difference? Lpt1 is used by the printer. the scanner uses something called Swiss knife. It can't find the scanner.
