Default wanting to buy digital canon rebel used, camera has

taken 16,000+ pics, does that affect photo quality? my question is, does the amount of photos taken with the camera effect the quality of the prints?item description: "Up for sale is a Like New Condition Canon Digital Rebel XT. This camera was bought NEW, the Body is black, and there appears to have no fade on the body at all. The LCD is in excellent shape. No Dings or Dents. It has taken approximately less than 16,000 pictures. The camera does have minor dust and wear but does not affect the quality of pictures. The package includes original battery, charger, manuals, lens cover, USB Wire, Software CD, receipt, all in original box. The camera is sold as is"

The image quality isn't effected by the number of shots. But the shutter mechanism can wear out - this is a delicate mechanical part. The Rebel XT is rated for +50,000 shots. And since a repair can cost over $300, in practical terms, when the shutter goes it's time for a new camera. By dust, the seller probably means that you should clean the sensor (or have it done). This is just routine maintenance. It's something you should do maybe two or three times a year anyway. This requires a dedicated cleaning set that you can buy at a camera shop.

Price wise are you really getting a bargain or taking a chance? Do you know if the prior owner took care of it?
