I am really getting fed up with the noise this card makes.

Is it possible to go fan-less and if so where should I start looking for kit?

Due to the layout on this card's pcb there's few and far between fanless solutions or fan'd solutions for that matter.

But best bet is to have a look at Quietpc.co.uk.

They can often source stuff they don't show on the site if you email them.

I have enquired before and had no luck, forgot...

Any suggestions on what card I could change to?

Preferably one that is fan-less or if not one I can make fan-less.

AGP and cheep as possible as I don't play games but would like to now and then.

I know you said fanless but read the reviews on this.

GX810 is your best bet considering the card, cheap as well. It's err....about the only one I could find.:o

I've looked at Zalman, Arctic Cooling, Thermalright, g'awd the list goes on. Can't find any fanless solutions fella.

As i said in my previous post the mounting holes on the pcb are of an unusual layout because of the hsi (hight speed interconnect) chip on the card, this is very close to the gpu itself.

Dunno, seems a shame really but it's about the only card still produced that has it's fan mounting set out like this, so the market for third party cooler's is very small and it looks like most manufacturers of said coolers haven't bothered because of this.

What card are you suggesting I go with?

Or are you saying use the fan above on my current card?

Yeah, I was writing my previous post whilst your previous came up on the site.

Anyway, the post above refers to me looking for cooler's for your current card. This one quoted is the only one I could find.

Its just thumb screws, so I'd guess you put the grommets on the gpu side of the pcb then screw the thumbscrews from the back into the cooler mounts on the pcb side.

Make sure you've a spare 3 pin header on the mobo though or the system won't be able to control the speed of the fan. Could mount it to a splitter I suppose or to a fan controller but you'd lose speed control.
