heya guys how u all doing?

iv just used rivatuner to overclock my card.
iv never overclocked before but i assumed it was pretty straight forward.

i overclocked it to:
core clock: 661
memory clock: 1000

ran the test in rivatuner, it didnt come back with any problems.
though when i go into the monitor which displays temps and clocks speeds.
theres an eplanation mark next to the shader clock.

the shader clock is now at : 1566

temperature shows the card being 46 degrees idle.

just wondering if these overclocks look stable?

and if you think i could push it a bit further?

cheers

edit: just looked.
apprently my card should have 1600mhz memory clock. but for some reason its showing 1000mhz? whats up with that?

If you're not getting dodgy display artifacts then it's stable.

But for stress testing (quickly) run 3dmark 05 or 06. I'd recommend 06 as it's DX10.

If you want to try and oc further i would strongly recommend doing so incrementally. 3mhz each oc on the gpu, and 5mhz on the ram.

Run 3dmark each instance and check temps ALL the way.

Both.

...........

The real clock is per each bank of ram. As it runs in parallel with the second bank you've two banks at 999mhz giving your ram an effective speed of 1998mhz.

Not knowing something does not make you a dunce Necro. In your case, it just makes you smart enough to ask.

Not bad score at all. Nicely done fella.
