craiig is on a distinguished road
Default 9600 GT 'vs' 8800 GT

ok so, been wondering which would give me better performance whilst playing cod4 and so on...

i hav the Asus Striker II Formula mobo so i am able to take advantage of using 2 or more cards.

so which one? (or 2 ^^)

9600 GT <<that one (if u know of better one, post it!)
8800 GT <<that one (if u know of better one, post it!)

now which one would give better performace in SLI?
the 9600 or 8800?

not sure on the resolution b4 alex pounces on me
becouse im not sure on which monitor 2 get as this 19" wide only has the blue connection (VGA, i think :S) so go to the other thread and help me out on a monitor choice! xD

my apologies if this is a common thread, but i became puzzeled :)
thanks for all your help and advice to come!

Looky here you can see that there isn't much between them
That is a good price for the BFG also
The 8800 is just slightly faster

No the one you have listed is better, Just get the OC not the OC2 and you can overclock it to OC2 speeds yourself

Just going to put this out there but, if you really want to SLI go with the 8800GT's but if your just going to be playing CoD4 and other games like that. ( crysis )

Well.. you might aswell just buy a 8800GTX. You will get alot better performance in non-sli games plus its cheaper.

Just a thought.
