| hello i just got a new 24" samsung widescreen monitor with 1920x1200 (16:10)resolution and im trying to use it with my sony laptop that has a max resolution of 1400x1050 (4:3) im pretty sure my laptop cant go to 16:10 resolution but when i set the resolution to 1400x1050 the image on the external monitor is stretched is there a way to have those black bars on the side come on thanks for the help! ![]() |

| On some of the widescreen tfts theres an option called 'FULL' could be something else on yours tho. I had a 19" LG Widescreen which done the same thing. When I pressed the 'FULL' button on the screen it stretched it out the full width. Hope this helps!!! |
