Default Best bang for my buck!

I was hoping someone could give me some advice for getting the best, cheapest, and most efficient video card. I am building my first computer and want to get a decent card.

9600GT is the 'cheapest' of the ones that are worth it as far as price/performance.

8800GT and 8800GTS are good too.

Depends what you will be using your computer for though, If you will be using it for gaming then the 9600GT or 8800GT, if you don't play games at all then an 8600GT or similar will do the job...

Like thingie said, Do you have a budget?

Default Best bang for my buck!

i got a 8600 gt and it runs everything i play great, but i dont play many of the more recent pc games. but if you do, then the 8800 gt is probably the best option for you. i have seen some on ebay go for around $100. i got my 8600 for 60. so it depends on what type of games you are playing to play with it...
