Hi guys,

A customer of mine need a new motherboard and her AGP card wont fit in as the only 478 board that my supplier does is PCI-E.

She doesn't want to spend much but does want to be able to play newish games albeit on low graphics settings.

Budget is £60-£70, what would you recommend?

For that kind of money from ATI you'd be looking at a x1650. Which is, in a word, lousy.

I'd be looking at a Nvidia 7600gt. These go for around the budget quoted.

Unfortunately Wolfie, that card won't fit as the motherboard connecton is PCI-E and the card you've quoted is AGP.

And why not, as Barry Norman is accredited with saying but never did.
