Just this morning, out of nowhere my PC froze so I did a reset.
Windows booted up and once I came to the Welcome screen my graphics went all nuts and messed up the whole picture.

So I did another reset, this time went into safe mode. Uninstalled the graphics drivers, and was going to do a fresh install. Uninstallation required a reboot, so I did it.
Booted up to windows, no drivers, low res. Went online, downloaded the latest drivers, started installing. And in the middle of installation screen usually goes black a couple of times and resumes. After 1 black screen, when the picture resumed, it already had loads of blue vertical stripes across the screen, but installation continued in the background. At like 70% screen went black another time, coming back completely messed up, at which point I couldn't even see what was going in the background. Left it like that for a couple of minutes thinking installation might finish anyway and reboot after that, altho nothing happened at all.

Did a reboot and as soon as the monitor turns on, on startup, screen is messed up with all kind of hieroglyphs all over the screen, even if I go into the bios.
So, now I'm not really sure what's going on. I don't get the blue stripes and stuff on my screen, but half the letters in the sentences while booting, or in windows are flickering and changing into some symbols, and I can't see sh*t anymore..

Graphics or? :(

Thanks in advance.

The card could be overheating, clean all the dust from it's fans if applicable. Even small amounts could up the temp a few degrees and cause fragmentation on screen. Might as well clean your CPU and other fans while your there.

That was like the second thing that came to my mind. Cleaned it up as much as I could but didn't seem to help. Altho I don't have any more of that high-pressured air for cleaning, which might help. The thing I'm worried about is, taking the card back to the shop since it still has warranty (sorry for english, not my native language), and them sending it to their service (which might take up to 45 days), and then sending it back saying it worked fine for them. So I just wanted to get some expert opinion and make sure it IS graphics thats doing all the mess. And to make it worse I kind of need it badly since i'm goin back to Uni in a week and need it badly there :S
P.S. they don't give out anything to replace the parts that are being serviced.

Have you another machine you can try the card in, that would confirm, sounds like it is to me though.

Wish I did :( Either that or another graphics to plug into my pc and try it out.
Also came to realise now after fiddling around, that "hieroglyphs" and symbols randomly flicker on my screen while in BIOS, and i.e. boot cd (win xp that i tried to boot), but
as soon as the windows logo and loading screen show up (I guess when the gpu drivers load) the symbols are gone and I get the blue stripes all over my screen that stay that way while in windows. Also they seem to react on any mouse movement I do. They are idle when I'm doin nothing, but moving the mouse around makes them flicker (ALOT).

Ok, I've shut the PC down for about an hour and after coming back it started up normally.
I left some things to download and went for a dinner. Came back after like 30 minutes, to find, this time yellow vertical stripes all over my screen. with the download and windows working normally in the background... Dont know what to think or say... Cleaned the whole PC thoroughly and everything :S

My BFG 9600GT oc did same thing about a year ago, but was red lines on the screen, Took it back to the shop after 6 or 7 months of use and they replaced it, turned out to be faulty ram on the graphics card! So sounds like a return job really..
