Hi i am thinking of buying one of the above cards,
Just woundered on reviews as i cant find to much out on this card other than the PC World website.

Difference between the 8800 and 9600 etc...

Its priced at £149.98 and i have £150 worth of Vouchers to spend at any DSG group inc pc world and would it be a great inprovement on my 2 x 7900GT at the mo.

Also what does the TECHNO bit mean?

Thanks for any advice in advance.

The 9600GT is a great card, only slightly better than the 8800GT and a little pricier, it will murder the 7900's
As for it being called TECHNO, its just a name

I have to agree with Carbon.

The 9600 is a good card for the money, and a high-oc'd one will be a better performer than a 256mb 8800GT. But it can't touch a decently oc'd 512mb 8800GT. Even with the price increase of the 512mb 8800 over the 9600 I still think think the 512mb 8800 is better value for money.

Yep.

The 8800GT 512Mb is better than the 9600 and I think worth the extra if you can afford it and will be better at higher resolutions as well.
