| Hi i am thinking of buying one of the above cards, Just woundered on reviews as i cant find to much out on this card other than the PC World website. Difference between the 8800 and 9600 etc... Its priced at £149.98 and i have £150 worth of Vouchers to spend at any DSG group inc pc world and would it be a great inprovement on my 2 x 7900GT at the mo. Also what does the TECHNO bit mean? | The 9600GT is a great card, only slightly better than the 8800GT and a little pricier, it will murder the 7900's As for it being called TECHNO, its just a name

| Yeh, go for it. The 9600 is a nice card now it has been out for a bit. I have one on order for a mates PC I am building.

| I have to agree with Carbon. The 9600 is a good card for the money, and a high-oc'd one will be a better performer than a 256mb 8800GT. But it can't touch a decently oc'd 512mb 8800GT. Even with the price increase of the 512mb 8800 over the 9600 I still think think the 512mb 8800 is better value for money.

| so what ya saying is for an extra £20 go for the 8800GT 512mb? from the same site.I dont mind paying the extra for it if its going to be better. Cheers anyways for all ya replys. Nic.. |
