Hello everyone,

I'm new to this board but I was hoping maybe you guys to help me out. I've had my computer for almost two years with no serious problems. However about to days ago When I tried to get my comp out of screen saver mode and it froze. After waiting about 3 mins and still being on the screen saver i decided to hard restart the comp. Upon restart my usual dell logo had red lines going down the screen, when the bios screen came up the entire screen was filled with $$$$$$$ artifacts (even overlapping the texts on the screen) afterward the windows loading screen would pop up (no problems there) but after that the screen goes black and my montier constantly goes into power save mode after turning it on, i am greeted with a BSOD about the NV4_disp.dll being caught in a contant loop.

I can enter in safe mode and after hours of research and countless solutions with no results I've narrowed it down to it being either the NV4_disp file not working properly or my video card being shot completely. I have tried:

~Uninstalling my driver, Driver sweeper, and reinstalling with the latest updated driver
~reducing my hardware acceleration
~running a virus scan
~ system restore

I am running out of hair and options, any help you guys can offer would be appretiated.

here are my specs:

If it is happening in the BIOS the graphics card itself is shot, no ways around it.
