Last week my XFX 9800 GTX was having slight frame rate issues so I suspected that the fan wasn't ok, and my suspicion turned out to be correct after I took a closer look, so went to my retailer and told him that it needed repair or I could get my money back, because I was kind of ticked off since the card wasn't even 2 months old, he took it in and told me he would exchange it for a Gainward Bliss 9800 GT Golden Sample with 1 GB of ram.

I was surprised to see that it was very overclockable and was already factory over clocked in the first place, so he convinced me to give it a go, and after I read some reviews on this card I saw that it matched the GTX when overclocked by just 50 Mhz, well to tell you the truth I was always an XFX fan boy but the malfunction of my last XFX card has brought into a new position I am very pleased with this Gainward card and since I got a 100 bucks in return for exchanging my old card for this one I consider it a bargain, note my old 9800 GTX was the standard edition.
And to top it all off I just spent my salary on new hardware including 1 extra GB of ram and a new CPU Thinking now I could have used the money for something else!?

But the bottom-line is that I have found Gainward’s cards to be very well made so for everyone who considers a GPU upgrade and has a budget be sure to check this card out, because it really performs fantastic for the money.

This is the 9600 GT version but it looks the same on the outside, only the box art is different.

Here is a review - http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php?op...8848&Itemid=40

To my big surprise it performs really well better than my standard XFX 9800 GTX, I can't say how good it would fair against the tripple XXX editions and what not, but its memory of 1 GB is enough to make it compare with every GTX. I found it to bee really cool even when overclocked to the max, I get a better read on framerates with fraps with this card in crysis than I got with my old GTX, for me its 5-7 frames faster than before? Which I consider a great thing since I got this cheaper than the GTX, saved me some money too.

Sounds like a win-win situation then, but I suppose you would expect that if you get your card replaced because it was faulty

It wasn't faulty when I had bought it, and I'm comparing the FPS when the GTX was working normally, so it's still faster than my old card.
