Default Blue tint problem with 4 month old monitor

Hey all, I'm having a problem with a relatively new (~4 month old) Samsung SyncMaster 226BW running on a new, unmodified HP A1720N under Vista Premium. After playing a game then exiting, the entire screen will have a noticeable blue tint. Using the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver, which I get from right click-->Graphics properties, I can adjust the blue so that it is acceptable again, though I have to do this every time I exit from a game, such as one launched from Steam. Solitaire and the other windowed games bundled with the computer are fine. Any idea as to the problem?

-Also, I recently turned on something called "MagicColor" by pressing Menu on my monitor and turning it on. It seems to have enhanced the colors, but when I load a program (be it a web page on Firefox or a game) that has dark colors, the screen turns unacceptably dark. Noticing the problem, I went into the monitor menu (by pressing the button on the monitor) again and tried to turn off the magic color. However, it said unavailable upon trying to access this menu. The picture (brightness, contrast) and color (magic color, color tone, color control, gamma) menus, as well as color reset under the setup menu all say Unavailable. I tried updating the driver to no avail. So what's up? Sorry about the long read, and thanks.

Well it seems that there is some problem with the GMA driver , reinstall it and disable the tray loading from run->MSCONFIG->startup->HGCFTRAY something like that is the name of the service . I think that should solve the problem sometimes it does give weird things . There arent much solution except this , also see that if your monitor cable pins are okay ie not bent .

Check the motherboard manufacturers website for an updated driver.

OK, how do I figure out my mobo's manufacturer? It should be Intel, right?

Is your PC custom made by you or by a company like Dell?

Try this updated Vista graphics driver: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...s=2093&lang=en

Click 'Download Only' and then install it.

Tried installing the new driver but there doesn't seem to be a change, the picture and color menus are still inaccessible.

Did the PC come with Vista?

Or did you upgrade it?

It's only four months old like I said, so it came with Vista. I seem to have fixed the second problem I described on my own. But there is still a tint problem upon exiting from games.
