Hi, could anyone help please. If I have on-board graphics then install my own card does this disable the onboard one so as to make use of the new and higher spec one. If so and something went wrong with the new one would it revert back to the on-board one and would you know if it had done it. Thanks.

You may have to tell the PC to use the new graphics card as opposed to the onboard in the BIOS.

I f one goes wrong it may revert back to the onboard but more likely you will have to once again enable the onboard within BIOS. How would you know?Well either because you would have no display or the graphics would be slower(at least I hope there would be a noticeable difference between onboard and graphics card.lol) My System: Krlll

most modern computers do it automatically
you should know by the screen resolutions options that become available with the new card
