which of these three cards would you recommend for my upgrade? I'm not too fussed about gaming, but want improved image quality when playing dvds....

I would say the 3850, a very good card, and I would say better than the other two.

"None of the above"?
Neither are in a good price/performance category, the 9500GT beats all three if you're desperate but I'd save up a little.
