| I have a Dell desktop. I dont know what its called, but the "port" you plug the monitor up to is kinda loose. The computer has worked fine, but now when it powers up the monitor will not come on. I dont know if its because of the looser moniter port or if it has something to do with the video? Thanks for any help! |

| Seems a bit of a coincidence if it's not the vga/dvi port (is it a dedicated card or onboard graphics port?). The onboard is 'hardwired' to the motherboard, if this is loose it could well mean the connection's are broken for video output. If it's a dedicated card; same as above. But also, some lower end cards house their vga ports on a dongle rather than being hardwired to the card itself, so it could simply be a matter of plugging the dongle back into the card itself. But really, you should be contacting Dell regarding this.
