Default Digital Video

Hello!

I am having a problem and I was wondering if you could help me.

There are two tipes of video cables/inputs/outputs....whatever, right?
Analog and Digital.

Video cards, like the 8800GTS i'm getting have digital video connectors that basically look like a lot of squares, and a plus.
My old monitor has the same connector, but it has a lot of squares, and a *minus*!
Is this another type of digital video?
Will they work with each other?

Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Thanks!

So, can I make them work with each other?

Thanks for the answer! :)

EDIT: What cable should I ask for when I get the PC?

Did you look at the link Vlad?
A DVI D cable will be ok.

If a connection is DVI-D, and properly designed, you will not be able to plug in a DVI-I cable but should use a DVI-D cable, even if one of the devices you are connecting is DVI-I.
This is a section from there Vlad.
